Downtime is becoming more and more necessary in the work-life balance for health, personal relations and inner harmony.  Technology makes it possible for folks to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  We can easily become overwhelmed as we no longer have the luxury of solitude, peace and quiet.  Workplace stress and burnout are common side effects of always being “on”.  Ever wonder what life was like before constant contact with screens and devices?

Here is what you can expect from our Retreat Weekend

Massage Inn RiverbendAwaken to the joy of a beautiful sunrise just outside your room.  Sit on the deck enjoying that first cup of custom-blended and freshly ground coffee or variety of teas or participate in early morning gentle yoga stretching. Wander into the dining room to share inspiring conversation at a communal table with other guests for a multi-course gourmet breakfast with an emphasis on health-centric dining.  Mid-morning, gather in the Great Room to participate in a workshop entitled: Going with the Flow using Hemi-Sync® Audio Technology for deep relaxation.  This workshop is custom-designed to create a calmer and more balanced self.

A buffet-style lunch will leave plenty of space for personal quiet time to take  a meditative walk, enjoy time on the deck overlooking walking in naturethe serene landscape or taking a soaking bath or even a nap.  Take time away from technology to disconnect from the demands of instantaneous constant contact. The extended lunch break can be used for personal time or schedule a massage treatment.  Our massage therapists can offer a variety of individualized treatments such as Swedish Deep Tissue.  A list of available choices includes facial and scalp, foot massage or targeted massage.

The workshop session will continue from 3:00 to 6:30 pm. Dinner is once again a central point for regrouping as a community of like-minded individuals whose goals are to refresh and restore surrounded by the serene landscape.  Sunset provides yet another opportunity to enjoy the pristine mountains with a sweeping panoramic view of the New River Valley in a luxurious setting.

As a Select Registry property, you can be assured of comfort and luxury at every turn.  Every room faces the New River and has direct access to the deck.  Each individually appointed room has a private en-suite bath with a soaking tub or jetted tub.  All-natural American made soaps and lotions, thick all-cotton towels and robes are provided and plush beds feature Comphy luxury sheets.

Be kind and generous to yourself or someone you love.  Take time to be renewed and refueled to be healthier and happier.  Renew your spirit and return to the world a calmer and more peaceful self. Couples can experience the retreat together and share the joy of reclaiming time away from distractions that collide with being focused on the relationship.
