Don’t just take our word for it. Below is an excerpt from a guest who relaxed, renewed, and refueled during her stay in March 2018.
“As I drove into beautiful Giles County with the mountains all around me, I couldn’t help but look forward to the time I would have to myself. Though the Inn was not far from the main drag, I felt I had been dropped into a quaint river valley far from civilization. My goals for my two day stay; rest, eat, renew. The lovely innkeeper gave me a tour and made me feel as though I was a guest in her own home. My room was perfect- just the right temperature and the softest bedding I’ve ever felt! I must say the view from my balcony room was just breath taking! Sitting atop a hill with the New River just below, nestled between the mountains, I felt pure peace. After a wonderful nights sleep, I woke to the most gorgeous sunrise right outside my door to the balcony! I was then welcomed to breakfast with a few other guests. We talked about all the Beauty around and our plans for the day. Little did I know that my day would take me to such sweet hidden gems just up the road. I visited a historic covered bridge from 1916 with the creek flowing under and met some lovely local people that shared the rest of the day in adventure with me! We ate, laughed, and finally watched the sunset atop Wind Rock-just up from Mountain Lake. After my final night of glorious sleep, I again saw the sunrise peaking above the river below the Inn. As I prepared to say goodbye, I spent a short while with the inviting innkeeper telling her of my adventures from the day before. To say that I experienced a small piece of heaven while on my short stay at the Inn at Riverbend is an understatement. I left feeling a renewal from nature, and the hospitality well known to the south. I will recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking for genuinely caring people and a place as comforting as being at grandma’s house!”
Come and experience for yourself and a loved one. We’re sure you will find just the right combination of rest and adventure to make a memorable stay at the Inn.
